Scope & Workflow

How does a W-Forge project start?

You build your project using the website Project Builder and submit it with your contact details. W-Forge then reviews the request and contacts you in writing to clarify the requirements and prepare the final project scope.

Can I change my project after submitting it?

Yes. You can request changes to your project during the review stage, before the final project scope is approved.

After submission, the Project Builder locks your project configuration to preserve the version submitted to W-Forge.

If you need to make changes, contact W-Forge. Once client editing has been unlocked, you can return to the Project Builder, modify your project configuration, and resubmit the updated version using the available Review & Resubmit and Submit Changes controls.

The revised configuration is saved and submitted to W-Forge for review.

After the final project scope has been approved and development has begun, additional requirements or changes must be reviewed separately and may affect the agreed price and timeline.

What is the project scope?

The project scope is the written definition of the work W-Forge will deliver, including the selected template, required Extensions, agreed functionality, content responsibilities, and other project-specific requirements.

When is the project scope approved?

The final project scope is approved after W-Forge has reviewed your submitted project and all requirements, services, and pricing have been agreed upon in writing.

W-Forge then sends the Project Scope Approval / Service Agreement through a dedicated electronic signature service.

You formally approve the project scope by electronically signing the document.

After receiving the signed agreement, W-Forge prepares the applicable invoice or payment request and sends you a secure payment link.

No payment is required while configuring, submitting, or discussing your project.

Development begins only after the scope has been formally approved, the required initial payment has been received, and any other agreed conditions for starting the project have been met.

Can the project scope be changed after approval?

Yes, but work that falls outside the approved scope is treated as additional work. New pages, functionality, integrations, or other additions may require a separate Extension or a new fixed-price scope.

How do revisions work?

The standard project includes up to three revision rounds for work already completed within the approved scope. One revision round may contain several related corrections submitted together in writing.

What happens when the website is completed?

When the agreed development work is completed, W-Forge makes the website available for review in a staging or preview environment.

You can review the completed website and request corrections within the approved project scope. Up to three revision rounds are included.

After all agreed corrections have been completed, W-Forge sends a formal Project Acceptance document through a dedicated electronic signature service.

You confirm acceptance of the completed work by electronically signing this document.

If an outstanding project balance remains, including under an agreed 50/50 payment arrangement, W-Forge sends the final payment request after acceptance.

Once all required payments have been received, W-Forge completes the agreed website handover, including standard installation and launch on compatible WordPress hosting.
